Watching this, I looked closely at it. At first I went crazy, thinking Jacob turned in front of Bella to attack Laurent, because that didn’t happen in the book.
Then, I watched her clothes. With laurent she’s wearing gray and an orange backpack, and with Jacob she’s wearing brown and no backpack.
Whoever Jacob is attacking is not Laurent.

What I noticed -
This kiss is the one that is AFTER the birthday scene - not before like the clip shows. Makes much more sense now.
All the Cullens look so much more how I thought they would. Bella even looks better (though KS still irks me). Laurent = creepy!
Taylor Lautner was meant to reprise the role of Jacob and I so glad he did - yummy!
The phasing scene is actually cut from three; With Laurent, Bella has on a grey jacket with an orange backpack. While she is running, she is wearing black and when Jake phases over her, she is wearing brown.

When i first saw it, i had the opposite reaction.

i was dissapointed. kinda mad…actually.

i was hoping for something different, i guess. did you notice how in the birthday scene, all the of the cullens had a kind of “glow” to their skins. not pale at all.

and i also noticed how they combined two scenes together cus when shes talking to laurent, she has a backpack but then when jacob changes, shes in a totally different outfit.

and i really hope that the feild they showed with the dead grass….wasn’t the “meadow”.

MTV better thank New Moon….It is the only reason I watched the movie awards. The cinematography is so much better. Chris gave it the film quality it needed. Visually, it already looks better than Twilight.

The meadow isn’t going to look the same. They filmed this in an entirely different location. Fans just NEED to get over their meadow obsession.

It’s like Hogwarts in Harry Potter. Different directors so things look different.

Hm, I’m not exactly excited about this trailer and I’m going to assume its because its a really rough cut. Everything about it seemed off, the music the coloring, the acting was bland and although I know they filmed in alot of practical locations, the shots look like they were done in a studio. But again, this is rough, put together for the sake of fandom momentum. I’ll be looking forward to a “real” trailer around the end of August.

This one was decent enough to let us see were they’re heading. But no, it was not amazing.

I think at the end it might have been something else entirely, possibly (page 325 of new moon) when Jacob takes Bella to meet with the other wolves and Paul get angry and phases, so Jacob has to phase to defend her? lol hope that made sense!

My first reaction was disappointment for some reason, but now that I have seen it a few times I feel better. The Jacob stuff was all amazing though. No complaints there. I think my main gripes are about the break up scene and the B-day scene. I just didn’t get any emotion from the clip that they showed of the break up, but I’m hoping that the full scene will be better. And, to me, that scene is too bright. I feel like it should be darker and rainy. And in the B-day scene I wanted to see the response of everyone and Edward crouched over Bella protecting her. They were all just standing there. I think that this trailer was probably just kind of thrown together. I hope that the next trailer and the movie will be better than what I saw here. Anyone else feel this way?

Oh, and did you guys see Kristen drop the award? That was so cute. I can’t imagine how embarrassing that must have been. It reminded me of Bella. Lol! I love Kristen.

ok so that was so GREAT!!! but during the phasing part that is 3 different scenes so i dont think he phases infront of her when shes with laurent. if you watch the clip closely shes in 3 different outfits so im glad they are keeping the movie really close to the book!!!! VAST IMPROVEMENT! was it me or did edward look better than ever?!??!

I too felt s little off because of the ‘not too heartbroken’ scene with Edeward and Bella when and after he leaves- and I felt more so worried about when Jake transforms infront of Bella randomly..

But I will tell you, those are actually three scenes mashed together.

You can tell, because as she’s yelling at Jake to run (but what from?), she’s wearing a greyish green shirt- and when she’s with Lawrence, she’s CLEARLY wearing her beige backpack and another colored shirt.

I just died and went to heaven. Though, I thought Jackson’s wig looked a little weird but everything else was MY FRIGGIN DREAM COME TRUE. Except that because of my suckish computer it went really slow and so the transformation stopped halfway through and all. That left me kind of bummed. But whatever! I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!

I really think the main reason they put three different scenes together at the end was to really show Jacob phasing and to give him something to be phasing at. I really think when Bella tells him to run that’s she’s dreaming because that’s what happened in her dream and then he phased. If they would have let the scene play it’s course with her and Laurent, then they would have had to show the whole wolf pack ready to chow down on some vamp, which they wouldn’t want to give away right now because this is only a teaser. For the most part, I squealed like the fangirl I am at heart when I first saw it. The trailer itself felt choppy, but the scenes we did see I thought were very much improved from the last movie. I kinda like Jake’s wolf form like that, it could have been a lot worst, and I definately wasn’t expecting to see him totally phased in a teaser, maybe just a hint of it, but it was a welcomed surprise.

I think for our first look we can all sayy AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! They are clearly living up to what we twihards demand! it looks like it will be amazing and from the clips, it also looks like they are sticking to the books HECK YEAH! i have never been so excited in my life for a movie ever…way to go guys I smell a hit…and for the record I love the makeupchange for Laurent, and I love that they showed jake phase…it was awesome YES!

This was Wow! I turned the tv up blasting when they introduced it. Might I say Robert’s accent is as charming as ever. I’m so glad they didn’t show any of the end, I wouldn’t want the spoiled. And I’m glad they didn’t show to much of Edward leaving. Perfect trailer really. My heart was literally racing, my eyes buldged out and my mother asked if I was crying. Ha! I can’t believe I have to wait until November to set my eyes on the best movie of 2009. Well worth the wait though. I absolutely love and adore Mr. Robert Pattinson. OOOOOMG. I was basically speechless. It seems so much better than Twilight, though Twilight was still amazing. New Moon is my favorite book of the series and basically in general and I almost died from the trailer. Obviously we’re not going to get the heartbreak from a minute long trailer. I’m confident they are doing an amazing job now and it just makes me want November to come that much faster!

I seriously can not wait to see this! It looks SO much better than the first Twilight. I think New Moon will live up to its full potential this time! I was worried about seeing the werewolves morph but I think it was PERFECT! I totally imagined it that way when was when I was reading the books. Wonderful! I saw the trailer on the MTV awards and was speechless! I can not WAIT! I just hope there is enough Edward in the movie…which I think there will be. Everyone knows he is dreamy!!

Honestly, I was disappointed. Seriously, I wasn’t as overwhelmed by the trailer as everyone else seems to be. I think the wolf morphing at the end looked stupid, but I hate CGI effects, and thankfully, the effects aren’t why I’m seeing this film! I thought the rest of the trailer looked pretty good though, and I am keeping in mind that Chris Weitz hasn’t finished the movie yet. They rushed that trailer to milk the publicity and make fans happy, and those scenes are subject to change. I have no doubt I will love the movie, I just can’t find myself getting as excited as everyone else over this trailer.

I just don’t get it. and also when there in edwards bedroom and he’s saying he lives becos of her what does he say? cos he kinda mumbles it. I think that the reason the family was standing around was that they didnt know what was goiing through Jaspers mind. Only Edward knew and that why he was the only one who reacted. It happened so suddenly for Alice to have a vision.

This trailer is AMAZING. I caught myself gasping for air when I first saw this!! People need to relax with the negative judgments, this is a TEASER. They JUST flew back from Italy. Meaning Chris Weitz hasn’t even started with post-production! This TEASER was made to make us happy (mission accomplished), so of course some of it might seem a bit off, but you need to examine it a bit closer and catch things you might have missed. Look at it this way, it’s evident that people, like me, were blown away by these mere trailer. So imagine the impact it will have when the final theatrical trailer is shown and MORE of the kinks have been fixed? This movie is certainly going to kick Twilight out of the ballpark for certain! This trailer was extremely awesome, VAST improvements, and Chris W. just became my hero!! 11.20.09 has to get her NOW!!

Honestly with how much time they were given to throw a trailor together while still trying to film i applaud them. It may not be exactly on the dot, but this is probably what they had to work with at this moment.
I think i tend to not be so harsh on these movies because almost all movies never live up to a book. In a book you are using YOUR imagination so in the end things look a specific way to you, these people have big shoes to fill they have to try to capture everything that EVERYONE has invisioned. It is not that easy.

i honestly think Twilight the movie was pretty good for what they had, and i am pretty sure New moon will be good. But nothing will ever take the place of what i had imagined in my head when i actually read all the books. The only thing i can do is enjoy the movies they produce, and applaud their efforts but never get mad cuz everything can’t be perfect.

OH WOW OH WOW OH WOW. I think I am over my speechlessness. OK. Kudos to Kristen for the eyebrow when she said “kiss me”. That was great Also, in New Moon, for some reason everyone looks slightly older, more mature, sophisticated or something. Which is good, I guess. Their wardrobe, I think is nicer also. And Jasper’s hair is rather improved. Rob’s hair is less poofy, but still beautiful I love the part when Rob pushed Jasper, that was darmatic. Also, Lauren looks extra creepy this time around! Rob’s acting when he said goodbye wsa the best! He had a look of true sadness. Jacob’s wolf transformation was epic! It’s odd how the wolf isn’t huge like in the book, but I’m sure it will still be good. I love the scream “Jake, run!” I think that make the trailer more dramatic. I keep rewatching this, savouring the little part of the movie I have that I can watch! All in all, the biggest scenes aren’t featured in this but the trailer is soo good anyway!

1. Why is the meadow soo dry and…yellow??. Then I remembered that is IS right so I went on.

well after watching it online over 20432898 times xD i noticed that the scene where bella is with laurent is a different scene from when jacob phases in front of bella.! which im super happy about, cause i would have been upset if bella knew about jacob being a werewolf by the time she bumped into laurent.!
you can tell it’s a different scene because at the meadow scene w/ laurent she’s wearing this kind of greenish sweater w/ her bookbag & in the next scene w/ jacob she’s wearing a brown sweater.! seee? ahhhhhhh i love it.<333333

You know what would be cool as? If in New Moon and Eclipse and Breaking Dawn(if its done) they enchance the actors growls, like when they growl in a scene if Chris goes back in the editing process and anchances their hisses and growls to make them a tad more animalistic, because humans can’t really growl, and that proved correct in Twilight when James arrived and Rob did a growly hiss.

Well, my little story as I watched this trailer…my heart kept beating faster and fast, but I was TOTALLY blown away by Jacobs transformation. I had two watch it twice the first time after a, “Whoa!” left my mouth. If the trailer was that good, I can only imagine how AWESOME/AMAZING the movie will be. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! No Ane, there isnt a scene where that happens. I admit that this is totally from what I’ve seen not like the book. But they are messing it up in a good way! I just hope they stay true to SOME of the book or else all the adults who REALLY like this are going to MAAAAAD. My mom was mad with Twilight and that was only slightly changed, but this, this is such bigger changed.

Why is everybody so calm after Jasper’s attack? In the scene after that, they all look just a bit sad. I thought they were all supposed to kind of growl at her and want to attack her? Well, I guess they have to make some small changes to come up with a good plot. What looks good in books don’t always look good in movies. I really hope they don’t change a lot though.
I really like the scenes we see here. They seem to go a lot like the book at least. I hope they release more trailers when their done shooting in Italy. I would really like to see some of that too!

The first time I saw it, I noticed that when Kristen said “Kiss me”, she looked repulsed or confused. I don’t remember in the book that she looked like that. xD And, I was a little disappointed at the birthday scene. I don’t know what it was, but something was missing. I was expecting a lot more. I guess I was also expecting more from the Jacob and Bella fling going on, but it’s a trailer! Can’t give away everything. I just hope New Moon is much better than Twilight.

It’s still hard for me to get over the stupid details that they are stuck with because of the direction Catherine Hardwick went in. It’s embarrassing but I can’t help but think, NO that’s not the cullens’ house!!! lol Also, for those that have read New Moon, even though of course a movie is always different from the book, we know that it’s actually a pretty great amount of time before bella knows that there are werewolves. In fact, Jacob seemingly ‘leaves’ her just like Edward because he is instructed to by the pack leader. I wish they didn’t show Jacob phasing. There aren’t any surprises for those who just see the movies now! I always wondered about the ‘jacob’ tshirts and everything for the Twilight movie…weren’t people who didn’t read the book thinking, okay that kid was in the movie for five seconds, why is he shoved in our faces? It’s important to please the original fanbase, but also make it fun for those who are just viewing the films and haven’t the desire to get into the books too.

When Robert says “This is the last time you’ll ever see me” at 1:01 his voice sounds extremely sexy.

& I love who they picked for Laurent. He was perfect in the first movie and he’s perfect now. He just has that certain thing about him that I always imagined Laurent having.

I went through a part of the comments, and weirdly, I didn’t think it was so great.. Of course, I see amazing improvement from Twilight, but did I miss something? As much as I love the cast, I thought the acting we see in the teaser was pretty dull. The birthday scene looks too unnatural, if you see what I mean. But I think it’s just because of how they cut the trailer. The whole action, though, looks like how I imagined reading the book. Alice is so darn cute. I love her. Great job on the makeup and all, so I’m happy Now, the werewolf phasing looks AMAZING, but the result… Hm, not too sure. As someone pointed out above, it looked somehow very cartoonish. And I imagined the wolf to look a lot more menacing. I mean, look how cuuuute and fluffy he is! Eep, that was amazing! The more I watch the trailer the more I love it. I was kind of unresponsive the fist time around but I do have my worries. Like, for example, did anyone notice that when she was talking to Laurent she was wearing a gray jacket and she had her orange backpack, then, whenever she turns around and starts running, telling Jake to run, she has a brown jacket and no backpack. I think it was probably two different scenes mixed into one, like the one with Laurent, obviously and then the one with Paul. Does anyone else think so? Oh, and I think they should fix the wolf a little, make it a bit more realistic, it kind of reminded me of the wolves in games sort of. Idk. But overall, apart from my confusionS, THAT WAS AWESOME!

You people are all crazy. Am I the only one that saw through the OME madness and saw how B-rated the acting seemed? Sure, it was probably better than Twilight’s, but still. And it upsets me that Bella obviously finds out about Jake, waaaaay before she’s supposed too.

What has my fandom come too? To see these people as the best actors in the world? Taylor L. maybe, but Rob and Kstew have absolutely no emotion. I mean, they do well in other movies, it’s just…..in these they seem to become armatures all over again. Then again, I guess that would be the director’s fault. You know, for not directing them. :/

And before you call me a hater, I’ll have you know I became a FAN of the series in 2006. Which means I was a fan of the book, which means I was a real fan. A Twi-hard. I simply accept that the book I loved has been butchered by Sumit. So before you go ranting about me being a hater, remember that I’ve probably been a fan longer than some, maybe most of you have.

The way they make Jacob turn into a wolf is freakin’ awesome…I was really afraid that they were gonna make it look all fake and stuff but it looks amazing! Yes! I have watched this trailer 10 times in the last few minutes.
And of course its gonna be different from the book. All movies are like that. Jacob is really hot in this trailer. I WAS a absolute Edward fan, but then I watched this trailer… I have now transformed into… TEAM ED-COB!!!!!

I love this whole thing! I AM SO EXCITED. for one I was scared that kristen wouldn’t pull through but from this I can see that it’s going to be one million times better than the first one. I THINK KRIS IS DOIGN AN AMAZING JOB. and I think that the whole “NO JACOB” thing was when he is jumping at paul because for one….she had diffrerent clothes on and for two…..They were in la push when she screamed that at jacob. it looked like they were near his house actually. but if thats the case its deff not the medow lauraunt scene because edward isn’t allowed in la push and bella is looking for HER AND EDWARDS MEDOW… so she wouldn’t be in la push. I wish the medow was more pretty though. oh well I LOVED THE BDAY SCENE. but it took me forever to understand what bella said about feeding 50. but I always pictured that scene happening at night. i hope this follows closer to the book than twilight did. Oh. My. GOD. I cannot believe I just saw that. I have been waiting MONTHS for that to come out…NO offence to Cathrine but Chris did SUCH a better job!
