what the hell do they mean that rob’s not a main character?!?!?! he’s in half of the book, the climax and is on Bella’s mind ALOT!!!! i bet he just doesn’t feel like being screamed at so much so that’s why he’s not doing interviews with is perfectly understandable.

I agree with everyone else. WHAT? No backstage interviews? Last year Taylor and Rachelle gave interviews and they weren’t main characters. I have a feeling though that this reason is not the real reason. I think Rob requested that he doesn’t do any backstage interviews; he must be so sick of being asked the same questions all the time. I know I would be. He skipped the red carpet at the MTV Awards too and that was a pretty obvious sign to me. At least we have the promotional tour to look forward to. They better interview him there!

I agree with Lexxxi and Tilly. I think after all the mobbing of fangirls and huge amount of fame and interviews due to Twilight, he is trying to stay out of the shadows as much as possible to give people a chance to calm down. I mean, he looks terrified when you see those paparazzi videos of girls coming up to ask for his autograph/jump him haha. Taylor hasn’t been getting as much fame as Rob is and is also more outgoing than him so I think he still feels comfortable giving interviews and interacting with fans.

And also he’s still filming Remember Me…I think we should be happy that he’s taken the time off to come to Comic Con at all because it’s not required for cast members to join, especially Rob whose role isn’t as big as it was in Twilight.

In this installment of the series, Edward Cullen is NOT the lead male character. Jacob Black is. Have you guys not read the book? lol seriously - chill out!

Of course Edward and Bella are the two main characters for the whole story, but for this book - for this movie - Jacob/Taylor IS THE LEADING ACTOR.

Edward is a main character, to Bella, becuase lets face it, she is a bit obbessed. Bella’s whole life is Edward, every thought and action has something to do with him. Bella is the narator, so of corse he is a main character.
BUT !!
Jacob has more lines. Jake is in NM physically, wereas Edward is only in Bella’s head. Since a movie cannot be filmed inside a character’s head,then of corse Edward isn’t a main character ! Jake has all the action this go around.
If we were all third party observers as the events in NM were taking place, then we would only see Jake, correct? We would not be in Bella’s head, so of corse we wouldn’t see that her every thought was focused on not letting Edward go, but fleeing from thinking of him.
So really … in all acutality, Edward is not the lead, becuase he is only in Bella’s memories, not there physically.
And also I’m quite sure that Rob doesn’t hate Twilight. He just wants some privacy, give it to him. He deserves it. Its not an easy job being Edward, you know …

*GAPES AT ARTICLE* WTF??? I’m fine about rob not doing interviews, but I’m just really pissed that they consider him NOT a lead role. In the book, (not including the hallucinations) Edward is in more than half of it, and really, in the movie Edward will be all apparition-y instead of just a voice. And the part where Bella goes to Italy is the climax of the story, it’s the most important event.

While Taylor may be a leading actor, so is Rob!!!
