A) they’re both wearing ALL BLACK! Dude, thats soo not twilight-vampire style! Especially Victoria!

Alright, before people start getting their panties in a twist, I’d like to point out that these pictures aren’t the best quality. The costuming and make-up could look a whole lot better on the big screen. Let’s not jump the gun and judge prematurely.

People, chill. Hardewick took the same angle with the Nomads in Twilight, and it worked out fine (adding some background to these vamps that people don’t get in the book). People that haven’t read Eclipse are going to be completely confused if Riley all of a sudden appears at the end of the movie as Victoria’s lover without any previous visual info.

You guys have to understand that not everyone going to see this movie has read the books. They need to develop the small characters so the ones that don’t know- like we do- can understand. It’s not like half the film is going to be of Victoria and Riley making out. It’s only one scene. I’m sure we can all grin and bear it. I’m excited about all of this. I’m thinking eclipse is going to be way different from twilight and new moon because David Slade is nothing like the two previous directors, but I like what he has to offer and I think his twist on the twilight films will be thrilling to see on the big screen.

What does it matter if they add a few new scenes? It’s not going off track of the book, it’s just adding more. It’s still the same idea: Victoria tricks Riley into thinking she truly loves him. This new scene only solidifies how she goes about doing that. Plus, the steamy kiss will attract more mature audiences, bringing more crowds into the theatre. Sex sells. Twilight wasn’t ruined by the added scenes with the nomads, and ecilpse won’t be any different.

Guys, TA wasn’t saying that she didn’t WANT the scenes or anything. She was just saying how it was unnecessary to add a scene that isn’t really necessary to the story line, when they could add a few more seconds or lines of the tent scene (which I HOPE is in there. If it’s not, so help me god David Slade is going to feel the wrath of a VERY angry Twilighter…). Of course a few extra scenes are alright. At least there giving us something.

And her hair doesn’t look that bad. It isn’t a poor imitation of Rachelle’s. I think that it looks wonderful. It’s the right color, length, and shape. Plus, the wardrobe looks good too. Maybe it isn’t what Victoria/Rachelle wore in the first or second movie, but it’s just one scene. She will wear other things, I’m sure.

I’m sorry, but people need to get over the fact that Rachelle is not playing Victoria anymore. I was just as upset and angry like every other Twilighter on the planet, but Bryce Dallas Howard is playing Victoria now. We need to give her a chance. I think she will do a pretty good job at bringing Victoria to life. And on another note: who cares if there is a scene or two that is not in the book. The movie will not be exactly like the book!! I think it will be pretty interesting to see more of a background story on Victoria and Riley. We all just need to breathe a little. Eclipse is going to be amazing!!! and New Moon

Here’s my take on this: BDH looks great as Victoria, honestly, from the distance, I couldn’t tell the distance (and I follow these updates and pictures religiously). On top of that, I think the wardrobe we see them in is to capitalize on the secretive nature of the situation. Also, I’m happy they have included a scene like this. Non-readers that saw the Twilight movie still complained about things not being thoroughly explained, so I welcome things like this, to help flesh things out. Seriously, as a general movie critic or non-reader you see a character come out of nowhere and think “what the hell? where’d they come from? They were no one, and now I’m expected to root for the heroes against them. Why?”

I saw these pictures a while ago too, but that in no way makes hisgoldeneyes disappointing to me at all. They have given me more than a year of good twilight news and haven’t stopped yet. Sure, there are other twilight sights that get other news. They all have their own sources. And yeah, sometimes other sites get the information first. Does it matter? At least we get it, right?
And if you read what Kimmy said under the pictures, you’ll understand why she posted the pictures. (They’re twilight related)

You know what I thought of last night, and it is so doable? Having an Eclipse trailer before New Moon. I mean, maybe in front of the midnight showings, as the only people who will go to midnight showings have read the books. Or they could show it at the end.
And don’t say it will be too soon for a trailer, Chris Weitz was able to get a trailer out the DAY AFTER the last filming day.

OK, this is my opinion if you all did not understand:
i AM open minded about bryce’s ACTING. I’m interested to see if she’s as good as everyone says she is.
BUT, on the other hand,I don’t SEE her as Victoria, because I think Rachelle looked perfect for her. Am I over the Rachelle issue? Yes. But can I still think that she was better for the part? Yes.
And, as far as the pictures go, i AM disappointed. Not because I’m not being open-minded or because I don’t like Bryce.
I’m just not impressed with the things I’ve been hearing about David Slade, and this doesn’t make me feel any better. I’ve been hearing that hes apparently “extremely quick” on the set. He does, like, two takes and then stops shooting. (I found that on a fansite…I forgot which one, I’ll look into it.)
I am not impressed with his past movies, and I don’t think his type of directing fits the Twilight Saga whatsoever.
But, back to the pictures.
First thing that I notice: They’re wearing nothing but black. We all know that this is a stereotype, and the cullens or any other vampires DO NOT wear black all the time. We see Victoria wearing so many vibrant colors in Twilight/New Moon, including the other vampires (laurent, james..the cullens!)
Second thing? The hair…well, I don’t like it. Just my opinion, though. Looks like a bad perm to me.
So far I’ve noticed that he’s straying away from the book already — and its only week one. I’m expecting new scenes, but I just have a bad feeling about this movie.
Maybe I’m completely wrong and it will be awesome. I hope its the case.

When New Moon started filming, she said that she approved of Chris Weitz and thought he’d do a great job.
She posted similar things about the Twilight film as well.
But yet, David Slade has been named director for quite a while, and Smeyer has said nothing….coincidence?? I think NOT.

i totally and completely agree with Salsa. Rachelle was and still is part of the twilight family because she came on set not knowing whether or not Twilight would be a success, but Bryce turns down the offer for twilight and once the family is together and twilight is an EXTREME success she comes the set instead of Rachelle who took the chance with the rest of the original cast. Now, im not saying Bryce will do a horrible job as Victoria but i feel like shes only doing Eclipse to get the money and go home. I dont feel like she would put her heart into the Victoria role like Rachelle did.
I really hope that Eclipse will be as great as im hoping it will be because Eclipse was my FAVE book. (:

i´ve been on holiday and totally forgot they replaced Rachelle, and so when i looked at the picture, it looked like Rachelle.
so I don´t see why everyone is complaining that much.
I dont know much of BDH but i´m willing to see how she does, just as long eclipse turns out well i hope!

First thought: Victoria’s hair was way too light /blonde in the first movie ie Rachelle. as it’s supposed to be “Flaming” but the length was great, now this chick has the right colour, just too short. That’s my 2c worth on that.
We can’t expect the movie makers to make it exactly like the book, it should rather have been a series , that way the emotions could have been included, after all THAT”s what the books are all about. The attraction, passion, frustration between Bella & Edward. The film never really grabbed that “infinite love” they feel for each other. I guess it would have made it too soppy.

Geez, people. Quit saying that Eclipse is ruined. The world is not going to explode because Rachelle was replaced. Bryce will do fine. Get over it. Please.

Wow, she does look alot more like Rachelle in these shots. I am not very pleased about Rachelle being replaced, but if we had Bryce first, and she was replaced with Rachelle, you’d all be just as upset my darlings. We should be encouraging both Rachelle and Bryce, not putting them down, after all, the more people around the world involved with Twilight, the better ! The more chances there is of us all meeting them one day. I think Bryce will do just fine, and goodluck to Rachelle on her new films!
