I feel so sorry for the Hardcore fans that probably went out & bought the Volvo that appeared in Twilight solely for the reason that ‘Edward Cullen’ had one, lol - Now he has a new one! They obviously have to change it to promote the newer models but it could have at least been silver??

I’m not bothered that its a new Volvo. I don’t think the other one would carry Bella’s bike if they plan on leaving that in the films.
I think its hilarious that Summit’s statement about the color/model got confused though.

yes it maybe a new volvo but it doesn’t change the story line, which is all that should matter, people get too hung up on little details.
and to be honest I think this volvo is a lot more fitting to Edward at least more sexy

I don’t mind that it is another Volvo, but I think they had to keep the color more the same (cause he is a Stupid SHINY Volvo Owner, and the old silver color was more shiny I guess) … but on the other hand, it will not change the movie because it is just a small detail … I gonna like the movie anyway

It’s just too bad that they didn’t keep the C30 in the second movie, i liked that one. This volvo is sooo not edward-ish. and on top of that, the color is crap too…
Although it is true that this doesn’t really matter if you look at the time it’ll appear in the film, but still…

This volvo is nice too! I actually saw this model around my neighborhood alot, and also same exact color before i even found out they were going to use this car. it’s really nice.
The volvo C30 is really nice, i loved that car! But this car is nice too! I don’t care that they changed the model, I’m happy
Can’t wait to see the movie!!!!!!

Anyway, I’m not too hung over about the fact that the volvo looks…NOT shiny and NOT silver. But still…he’s the “shiny volvo” owner. Without it…what is he?!?!??! XD

I agree with a lot of people saying it does look more fitting for Edward. It’s a lot sexier, and more sheek (Hence Edward). And sorry, I dunno if I say this and people will laugh . . . i don’t like that they changed the car….yes, i know its still a volvo…but if they had to change the kind of volvo why not keep it silver!!!?!!! i have a bumpersticker on my car that says “my other car is a shiny silver volvo” i mean, now its black?!!
i’ll get over it…but i honestly don’t believe that Edward would have ever picked that kind of volvo not even after Nessy! its a “family” looking car….like something a teen would borrow from his mom or dad not what he would pick at the dealership if he is 17 or 109 trying to look like a modern 17 year old!!!

Yeah I agree with most folks here. I don’t mind the new model, though it does not speak much towards the consistency of the films that it is a different model. But I understand that Volvo wants to show off other models, but they should all be silver. Would have been nice.
