Wow things are moving fast. Cant believe their finished filming Eclipse and we still haven’t watched New Moon.

I disagree alright after Twilight came out we waited a year for New Moon if I’m correct.
Well New Moon is about to come out and Eclipse is to hit theaters seven months after that.

The time differance is very noticable.
I also wish as does mostly everyone else that the production of these movies would slow down.
At least for a while so that everybody can enjoy the movie that is about to come out.

I still think that the seven months is a decent amount of time to wait. As long as Eclipse is great, I don’t care if it comes out one day after New Moon.

Remember that these actors can’t age too much for their roles, particularly Edward. If they waited a year or so between each film, the aging on some actors may become noticeable.

Oh my god! How crazy is that??? I really hope this is a great movie. It seems a little rushed.

David Slade is used to quickly and effectively doing films. He filmed Hard Candy in 18 days with a 950,000 budget and limited resources. He’s a pro with managing time.

Also, guys:

New Moon’s incredible cinematographer returned for Eclipse to work with David Slade, so I’m sure that he was used to working with the entire crew once more. I’d imagine that it was easier for them to handle the project.

Since Javier is returning to work on the visuals of Eclipse, I’d imagine some consistency with New Moon will be noticeable.

Oh God…I’m actually dreading the day they stop filming the Twilight series, because then they’ll all have to split up and go their own separate ways.

Why did Summit choose to film the Twilight series back to back?

It’s a common film practice for a series. I think that Peter Jackson filmed some of the Lord of the Rings movies back-to-back in New Zealand, too.

Well, there’s still the possibility that they will make BD two films. There may be a longer wait for that after Eclipse. I know that Summit wouldn’t leave the movie adaptations unfinished. It’s only a question of, “How will they film BD?”

It has quite a few challenges as a movie due to some of the content.

Does that mean actors like me will have to start moving ALREADY to audition for BD and stay out of the sun if we DO get the part?! Geez! It’s getting insane!

You’re thinking of attempting an audition, Ariana? Any specific BD roles in mind if you’re able to attend an audition for Summit?

It doesn’t even feel like they filmed Eclipse. I wouldn’t say for them to slow down. I’m too impatient! Haha!

It’s still far from over. They are going to be promoting New Moon soon, then after that we’ll get more pictures of Eclipse and trailers. After Eclipse is out then it’ll feel over lol

Yes, it may be going too fast, but just enjoy the ride for now! These people work INCREDIBLY HARD to make US FANS HAPPY! Don’t worry, there’ll be a time when you wished it came faster.

I think BD will present a challenge for Summit. Could Breaking Dawn be done justice in one movie that lasts two hours? Would they be able to show Jacob’s story, the full impact of Bella’s pregnancy, the final gathering of witnesses, etc?

Honestly? I don’t think so. I believe that hiring a director to film two parts for BD back-to-back would be wise. It’s the same thing that they are doing with the last Harry Potter film.

As long as the films are great, there’s no need to slow down. Many of these characters never age, while their actors do.

It’s not like Harry Potter, where the main characters are meant to age.

Question: WHY IS THIS GOING SO FAST!?!? Like, not just the movies, or even the merch., but even like, this WEBSITE. Have you guys realized that this is the FOURTH NEW MOON DESIGN that HGE has had??! TWILIGHT had like, OOOOONNNNEEEEEE….SLOW DOWN SLASH STOP!!!!!!!!

To all who are worried things are going to fast: First of all, since NM and Eclipse were filmed essentially back to back it makes sense that there is only a seven month space between them vs. a year like there was with twilight and nm. Also, before twilight came out summit wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to continue the series-they needed to see how much Twilight made before they got the greenlight. Thats not the case between NM and Eclipse. And Last but not least, time=money! I’m sure they don’t want to waste time, cause thats a waste of money!

Even though it may be coming an end, we will all still have all our copies of the movies and can watch them over and over again and read the books over and over again. But I know, it’s still sad.

I agree that it is going fast but even if Eclipse is about to come to a close we still won’t see it until June 30th(a.k.a.MY BIRTHDAY!)
But remember The Host is being made into a movie also!
And The Hunger Games the movie is comming out in 2011!

You people need to calm down. I agree with everything Matt said. Also, I personally cannot wait for Eclipse in theaters cause its my favorite book! I know it kinda sucks that its all going so fast but theres nothing we can do about it so I think people should just calm down and be happy that they are making this wonderful series into movies. Also, who knows when Breaking Dawn will be made, they haven’t said a word about it, so i think we should all take a deep breath and enjoy what we get. Finally, only 26 days till New Moon!!!! (25 for me and other lucky people who got tickets to the advanced screening)

I heard that BD was scheduled to start filming in September of next year but I still haven’t heard if it will be one or two movies. I think the timeline makes perfect sense. Twilight in 2008, New Moon in 2009, Eclipse in 2010 and BD in 2011.
