Kristen Prout On Her Role As Lucy
Kirsten Prout, who plays Lucy in Eclipse, spoke to LimeLife about her role. Just to refresh your memory a bit, Lucy was one of Maria’s pals that preyed on and turned Jasper in his human life.
Kirsten is excited to be playing a vampire in Eclipse, especially after all her girl-next-door parts. She say it’s, “a good change because for a long time it was that little dimpled girl next door, and everyone’s going to be like she’s biting someone.” Kirsten is smart to be wanting to play a wide variety of parts. Not that it’s not exciting enough to be in a Twilight movie!
She says of her character Lucy, “The character is extremely predatory and what’s amazing about playing a vampire is you are a predator and you lure in your pray and then you turn on them” and believes she was partly chosen for the role because of how pale she is! They didn’t have to do any air-brushing on her because she’s quite pale enough.

Lucy was one of the vampires with Maria. Whom Jasper met before he was turned into a vampire. Then after he was turned by Maria. I forgot the name of the other Vampire. But it was Maria, Lucy, and someone else and Jasper for a little while

I think Kristen Prout has too much of an innocent baby face to be Rosalie. Her picture above could probably pass off, though, but I always imagined someone with sharper features, like Olivia Wilde, playing Rosalie. Ah well…I’m pretty content with Nikki. She’s pulls off the “bitchy” disposition really well. I love her. :]
As for Kristen’s character, it’s funny how she’s being featured so many times, and yet a lot of Twilight fans can’t recall who “Lucy” is at the top of their heads. I had to google her character to figure out who she is. Haha! XD

That’s understandable. Despite having a role in Jasper’s backstory, Lucy isn’t *that* significant. When you think of Twilight, you don’t think of characters that are only referenced in Jasper’s flashbacks.
Lucy died before Jasper left Maria, I believe. She wasn’t terribly important.

She’s really pretty. I’m excited about Jasper’s story as it was one of my favorite parts in Eclipse and I can’t wait to see Lucy and Nettie and Maria in action. =D
