They stopped it right before the good part! Loved the sound effect it made when the blood hit the carpet. You could tell something bad was going to happen.
Loved Rosalie’s tone. Sounded like she didn’t want to be there. lol. Emmett was hilarious, and then Edward scoffed, making Emmett say ‘what.’
Everyone looks incredible, and I’m glad they are sticking to the birthday presents.

The papercut scene was shown in part on the first trailer. This is definitely a different take than the one show. I prefer this one. In the trailer she practically announces that she has a paper cut and she dramatically drops the present. In this one she doesn’t drop the gift and her “Papercut” line is more quiet and directed to Edward. I also loved Emmet’s lines. Exactly like the sense of humor I loved from the books!! Can’t wait for the 20th! Got my tickets!!!

No, it doesn’t look fake. They focus away from Bella for a second, and the blood is more evident during the close-up. You would have to be ridiculous to say that this looks like a comedy. Besides, this isn’t a “cry your heart out” scene.

We haven’t REALLY seen that much. All the trailers have much of the same scenes and shots. I feel like all the drama and panning from character to character in the trailers makes it seem like a lot. But we really haven’t seen much of Bella and Jacob’s friendship, the wolfpack dynamic, Bella’ depression, etc. I don’t think we’ll be bored watching the movie
Still lots to see.

Well, Sweeney Todd had blood that looked a bit fake, but it’s still one of my favorite movies. It did look like it cut a bit of Bella’s finger, so that’s not an impossible amount. Besides, we don’t see blood too often in NM, I’m assuming.
Still, this scene was perfect, from the acting to the lighting If anyone is interested, New Moon’s cinematrographer is also working on The Road, an upcoming movie.

I think Jasper is supposed to be a bit awkward around Bella. Jackson did an excellent job with showing how pained Jasper was.
In Twilight, Jasper had around five lines:
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Is your school here in Phoenix?”
“Alice sees the course that people are currently on. If their course changes, so does the vision.”
“Oh, I think we can handle that.” *to Victoria*
“I’ve faced his kind before. They’re not easy to kill…” *talking to Emmett*

Also, I think we may see *less* of Jasper in New Moon. Jackson said that he mostly appears in two scenes: the birthday, and the Cullen family vote at the end.
In Twilight, the Cullens have a bit more screen time. Alice and Edward will be the family members with the most time on screen, I think.

Jasper is feeling the bloodlust of ALL the family, including himself. While each of the other members can control themselves, they still feel the urge when they smell the blood. That is why they all have to leave. Jasper is the weakest link already and when he feels the bloodlust of all the rest too he simply snaps. The book makes it clear that even Edward had to hold his breath because of his bloodlust. It was only at the end of Eclipse that he could breath and smell Bella’s blood.

You could say that for a short scene in any movie, but that’s a bit too simplified. For a romance, I could say, “Talk! Talk! Declaration of love! Talk! Ending!”
Out of the presents, Emmett had already installed the radio system, and we never see the tickets due to the paper cut. How long did you want the scene to be in a two hour movie, exactly?
Remember, this isn’t the entire birthday scene, either.

I love the trailer..all the leaks.. and can’t wait to see the movie.. but it’s not going to be like the book… like in this scene.. edward is just sooo awkward.. and emmett was supposed to be in the garage installing it when she got the box… not just standing there.. love the line though! Never posted a comment before and the clip was good. Read this site all the time - impressed by Matt’s commitment, but I have to say…the intro by Ron and Kristen was almost painful, like “if this thing last more than 10 seconds, I’m going to throw up”, you know. Taylor seems very natural and even happy to be there, but the other two were like in misery. Maybe they should just let Kellan, Taylor, Ashley and the rest of the wolf pack handle all appearances for the rest of the films cause seeing this really made me a little depressed at how unhappy they are and how they seem so ready for all of this to end.

I can’t help but feel that Jasper’s hair isn’t right, I know it’s wig hence he had to be bald for his other film but… it doesn’t look as right as it was in the first film. T.T Bah, oh well.
Anyways, LOVED IT… I’m disappointed in myself for clicking play instead of thinking, lols. Really love Emmett, seriously wanna an older brother like him… *sigh*

what the F paper cuts dont bleed that much, mostly they dont bleed at all u just get a red line. ugh and it would deffently not fall 2 the ground like that. other than that it was perfect!! LOVE KELLAN!!!!!

whats up with rob in this scene??? its so awkward he just stands there doesnt say a thing, its really weird, and when alice says “show me the love” wow you cant even smile for the camera they just look away ya umm weird. and all the blood was….. paper cuts hardley bleed. i really like kellans lines hahahaha how could anyone not love him!!!

i absolutely LOVED this clip. Emmett really seemed to be enjoying himself, i remember in the book Edward telling Bella “that they hadn’t seen a birthday since Emmett in 1932.” So that is what i used to explain the awkward and giddiness of the Cullens.

IMO I think Edward was a bit too quiet and collect in this scene but I guess that’s how he was in the book. I have to admit, jasper’s look was hilarious I just burst out laughing! I know as a twihard it was a very tense moment but something just made me laugh.
Rosalie was good, loved her look and her attitude. What Esme said it took me a while to get the inside joke (was tired).
