I’m glad she’s showing her support for “animal rights,” but I hope the company she’s supporting is legit…not like PETA. PETA lied!

It’s wonderful that she’s doing this. *____* I’m shocked everytime I walk into a pet store in the US. All those poor puppies…
And she looks absolutely beautiful in this video!

This is a cause that I am incredibly passionate about. As a lover of animals and a contributor to these rescue attempts, I applaud Rachelle for lending a strong voice.

November 1st, 2009 at 4:35 PM
@Lena: Now that you mention it, she kinda does! It has to be the eyes and the smile, yes?
November 1st, 2009 at 4:36 PM
I’m also very passionate about this cause. Best Friends and PETA are not related so chill.
Puppies and kittens are not products. Adopt a pet don’t buy them from a pet store, unless you can validate their history.

November 1st, 2009 at 5:58 PM
I am so glad that she did this. I would love to be able to adopt every dog in a shelter…but I don’t think my mom would like that too much
She looks beyond gorgeous in this, but she always does.
November 1st, 2009 at 6:02 PM
I let a shelter dog names gimo steal my heart. I love my doggie.
ADOPT TODAY!!!

The charity she is supporting Best Friends is a great organization. I’ve been donating to them for years. They do so much for animals. They really helped out during Hurricane Katrina. I’m so glad Rachelle is supporting this organization.
November 1st, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Just think of the huge difference it would make in this world if all Twilight fans adopted their next dog from a shelter. Hopefully gorgeous Rachelle’s message will be acted on by all her fans and all the twilight fans!!
November 1st, 2009 at 6:37 PM
Agreed!
I despise celebrities that treat animals like nothing more than a disposable fashion accessory. They are loving companions, and having a wonderful dog truly makes me feel better during some particularly rough times.
Rachelle is setting a wonderful example by lending her time to this organization.

Awesome, and unfortunately and so true. Puppy mills are a horrible reality. Animals are not something to ’shop’ for like an accessory to an outfit. There are too many dogs, cats, and other domestic animals out there that need a home already. My animals are all adopted or were strays. And it would greatly reduce the amount of ‘destroyed’ animal lives, if people would visit their local animal shelter or SPCA, when looking to bring a critter home.

@Kay - I can assure you that Best Friends Animal Society is legit. I interned there this past summer and it is seriously an amazing place that goes above and beyond for any animal in need. I’m completely in agreement with you when it comes to PETA (primarily because they want to eradicate the world of pit bulls based on a stereotype). Sometimes I feel like celebrities don’t do their research before supporting an organization.

this legit made me cry. i miss my doggy and i totally agree with this. puppy mills are cruel and shelter dogs are the best.
