She said she wanted Chris Weitz to direct Breaking Dawn- which I completely agree with even before seeing New Moon. I’m sure I’ll back him up even more after seeing it.

Yeah! I clicked the source link and watched the entire interview. I totally agree with Kristin. Chris Weitz should absolutely direct Breaking Dawn. I think he would do amazings with the material. Team Chris!!! lol

Of course i havent seen the movie, but my god, with everything Chris Weitz has shown us, and how amazing it looks. He should direct breaking dawn. He loves the series, and he is completely commited, and his CGI is pretty dang good. I’m sure there is a lot of CGI happening in Breaking dawn. He would just be an awesome match. LETS HOPE!!!

Ok so I watched the interview where she talks about Chris directing Breaking Dawn. I really trust him a think that would be awesome. But it kind of makes me wonder if she didnt enjoy working with David Slade. I know I shouldnt read to far into but in all of the interviews I havent once heard any of the actors say ANYTING good about him. It worries me because although I love all the other books..Eclipse has such a special place in my heart. Its probably my favorite book. Its the one book I always thought would make the best movie, just cause there is sooo much to it.I really really hope by some miracle Chris directs Breaking Dawn.

I’ve never disagreed with Kristen on anything she’s said in an interview. I completely get the Jacob/Edward question. She’s thought this out a lot.

Another excellent interview with Larry Carroll. He really puts the guest at ease, and asks questions that they are excited to answer, and he is never annoyingly nosey.

I agree with Kristin…I think. About Weitz directing BD. I need to wait and see New Moon first, before I make my final say.

I think they are just waiting on reactions of the fans. So when NM comes out next week they will see what we feel about Chris Weitz … when everybody say he did a great job he will probably get a chance to do BD as well … but when the fans are disappointed or something they will look for another director.
I think, with all the trailers I’ve seen already I wont be disappointed at all next week

But they MUST make BD, it has to be made!!!!!

It’s pretty interesting how everyone thinks Chris Weitz should direct Breaking Dawn even though we have only seen trailers.
With this in mind though, I would LOVE if Chris Weitz came back to direct.

From the trailers and clips we’ve seen, it’s nice to see a different take on the series, and that kind of “old-fashioned” sense to it. I think Chris will make us all eager to see him return to the series after seeing New Moon, because the clips we have seen, no one seems to be disspointed, and I don’t think we will when seeing the movie in its entirety either.

With David, eeh, we will have to see. Their has been a few complaints with him, but I think his movie will be magical regardless.

Though, again, I am definitely for Chris Weitz directing Breaking Dawn. You can tell, if the actors enjoyed working with him and the movie comes out fantastic, their is no question as to who directs BD.

I definitely think that CW should do BD! I think the movie will be a disaster anyways, but I think he would do a good job

Elena I think the reason why they probably don’t talk about David Slade that much primarly is due to the fact that they are only promoting New Moon so there steady promotion is to focus on everything New Moon ? ya know?? I think the cast probably enjoyed working with him, but they just aren’t mentioning it as much because Chris is the one that directed New Moon ? So that could be why.
But i’m excited for both! I also agree that Eclipse is my favorite book of the series.
