The Twilight Saga: New Moon Box Office Tracker
Do you want to know exactly how much money the Twilight Saga: New Moon is making in theaters? We made this nifty little widget for you to put on your page that will tell you how much it’s making. When I get home today I will be putting it in the sidebar! Of course it’s all at zero right now since it’s not released yet.
How much do you think the movie will make opening weekend?

November 19th, 2009 at 12:16 PM
I hope it blows 2012 out of the water, last I heard they were like $225m worldwide. Let’s say $275m worldwide!
November 19th, 2009 at 12:16 PM
here in italy, the first day, november 18, make 1.832.000!!!!!
November 19th, 2009 at 12:20 PM
I’m hoping that it makes it over $158m so that it becomes the highest grossing opening weekend of all time. The numbers are insane! I’m gonna say $160m
November 19th, 2009 at 1:38 PM
I don’t know how much and I’m not game enough to guess, but I know how big it was when it opened here in australia; even when we went up to buy our ticketsn the person working there was like ‘hm let me guess…new moon?’ Its so unbelievably big. We’ll just see
November 19th, 2009 at 1:48 PM
106.2 million!
November 19th, 2009 at 1:51 PM
over 100 million
November 19th, 2009 at 1:53 PM
I was an idiot and didn’t buy tickets in advanced, now I have to wait 2 weeks before I can see it
and I’m scared, because it apparently isns’t very good…
I reckon twilight will rank 2 or 3rd in the box office overall this year, soz but it won’t win over potter, maybe transformers but not harry potter ( I won’t let it ha ha)
November 19th, 2009 at 1:54 PM
I want it to make over 102 million in the U.S. to break ‘Goblet of Fire’s’ record of being the biggest opening weekend in November. Then Rob will have the no.1 and no. 2 movies.
November 19th, 2009 at 1:58 PM
@Lila Personally I reckon the movie was amazing. It was so so good.
Way better than the first one.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:03 PM
im really hoping for over 100 million the opening weekend, it want it to break the record!
November 19th, 2009 at 2:11 PM
Wow, a lot! that’s for sure XD
200 million maybe??
We’ll have it here (in Israel) only on December 10th! that’s so not right! i can’t wait to see it!!!
November 19th, 2009 at 2:12 PM
I am in France and on it’s opening day, yesterday, it did absolutely huge numbers. Not to mention the movie was FANTASTIC!
November 19th, 2009 at 2:13 PM
I think it’ll make more than last time in Twilight, because i think the books and movie have became more popular, here in the UK, and everygirl i know almost has read it :S
November 19th, 2009 at 2:47 PM
i think it could make $175m possibly more. the theater i’m going to tonight has 5 whole theaters sold out for the midnight showing.
November 19th, 2009 at 2:53 PM
i know that it will at least make more than twi will.. and maybe this weekend will 1.5 times as much twi made last year opening weekend nationally(usa)
November 19th, 2009 at 2:55 PM
there are some reviews out already - some ok some bad
November 19th, 2009 at 2:59 PM
I think it was moviefone or fandango…not sure, that was predicting “New Moon”, based on pre-sales to surpass the Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader’s opening (Revenge of The Sith)to become the biggest selling film…ever?!?!
I’m gonna have a Keanu Reeves moment.
“Woah!”
November 19th, 2009 at 4:22 PM
Well the shows tomorrow night at my local cinema tomorrow night are booked out and when twilight came out there was only one showing on and the cinema was tiny and it wasn’t even nearly packed so im sure its going to be 10x bigger!
November 19th, 2009 at 5:03 PM
really guys just 100$ million??
I say more than that! but then again idk! =]
I predict this movie is going to be BIGGER than the Dark knight & Star Wars.
November 19th, 2009 at 5:22 PM
ahah, they’ll deff make alot, and they have made alot already. our theater is sold out because everyone prebought their tickets. unfortunatly ill have to wait and see if the movie is good enough to make as much as they will because be honest twifans- the first one sucked! harry potter on the other hand kicks ass. twilights good, liked the books, will go see all of the movies, yet it is no competition to HARRY POTTER.
November 19th, 2009 at 5:24 PM
I can’t wait….
I am not allowed to go at midnight, but I will get to go two days in a row so that will make it up.!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it will make more then $100 mil too! Why not?
November 19th, 2009 at 5:33 PM
I was thinking of going to the 3:00 AM showing
November 19th, 2009 at 5:44 PM
IDK WHY ! BUT NEW MOON CAME OUT TODAY IN MEXICO
WTF i was like NO WAY ! IT COMES OUT TOMORROW AT 12:01 !
but some friends saw it !
im dying
November 19th, 2009 at 5:50 PM
I can’t predict how well it will do.
I know for a fact it will beat 2012 in the box office, hands down.
However, I can not fathom how much it will make opening weekend, that’ll be quite an interesting number.
Can’t wait to see it!
I have to wait till sunday :(.
November 19th, 2009 at 7:51 PM
I don’t think it will break a record but will at least make $80-100 million. I think the record is about $150 million so I don’t see a movie breaking that record anytime soon.
November 19th, 2009 at 8:41 PM
I predict on opening weekend USA will make around $90 to $100 millions and world wide + USA will make around $150 millions
November 19th, 2009 at 8:43 PM
BTW I saw it today, and I like it very much, is better than twilight
but I love more twilight the book than new moon the book xD
November 19th, 2009 at 8:44 PM
lol i remember last year i watched this counter thing religiously
November 19th, 2009 at 8:49 PM
Come on, Twilight’s opening weekend was 70 million, you think New Moon will only make 10 million more?
Again, I think it’ll be interesting to see how much New Moon makes. I think it will most definietely make 100 million in opening weekend, considering the advanced ticketing already broke records.
However, I am hoping it’ll sky rocket even more and break the record for best opening weekend of all time. That would be so cool!
Regardless, I gotta check back tomorrow morning and see this, it’ll be cool to see how much it made!
November 19th, 2009 at 10:08 PM
NO WAY HARRY POTTER WILL NOT BEAT TWILIGHT!!!!
New Moon is named the biggest ticket sale in HISTORY!
DUH! That right there TOTALLY beats Harry Potter!!!!
November 19th, 2009 at 11:03 PM
I’m excited to see how much it will earn worldwide. Here in Singapore, the preview screenings are all sold out within less than a week.(I was too slow so I didn’t manage to get my tickets :() And they are promoting new moon to a whole new level, eg. huge posters up on pillars on train stations and a mall all decked out in new moon posters/decorations! I’ve never seen a film garner that much attention here, not even Harry Potter.
New Moon is gonna rock! xD
November 20th, 2009 at 4:18 AM
You can’t compare NM openingweekend to Twilight opening weekend. Why not you ask? Because Twilight was released over a larger period, for example we only got it here in the Netherlands in december. NM however is already in cinemas since yesterday. Soooo the Twilight openingweekend involved less countries which means less money. I think NM can make 150million, but I’m no expert
November 20th, 2009 at 6:21 AM
definitely over 150$ million dollar, i think even more
November 20th, 2009 at 7:56 AM
dude and i don’t know what theaters you were at but at the theater i was at they were selling cardboard life size cutouts and i wanted to get one but it was $30 to many which i didnt have!
November 20th, 2009 at 8:24 AM
A LOT. I dunno, my guess would definitely be $150 million as well. Around that sum.
November 20th, 2009 at 8:57 AM
I have no idea how much it will earn, but it should be a lot. Don’t listen to the reviewers (most of whom know nothing about Twilight). It was AWESOME!!!
November 20th, 2009 at 9:40 AM
200millon
November 20th, 2009 at 11:42 AM
Early reports are that it made 23-26 million in just midnight showings alone.
November 20th, 2009 at 11:43 AM
morning ticket sales are already at 13.9 million.
November 20th, 2009 at 1:55 PM
I’m going to give a realistic esitmation and say 123 million, but the independent Twilighter in me is sure that we can go even higher than that! Chris Weitz is a talented genius, and his beautiful film deserves to be promoted!
