This was seriously the BEST movie EVER!!! 10000000 times better than Twilight!!

Also, I don’t think New Moon totally shattered Harry Potter. It was only four million. I’d say it shattered the Dark Knight though.

I am a HP fan too but…I’m sick of HP…the 6th movie was so horrible….and I’ve never said that about a HP film b4…

I think the 7th will be just as bad…because of David Yates…

I went to the midnight showing and there were over 400 people there lines out the door around the building. It was the best movie ever now I can’t wait till Eclipse I wonder if they are gonna show Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse in one night that would be cool.

freaking amazing movie..best movie ever..i cant even describe how good and so much better then twilight it was. i wish chris would re do twilight lol seriously..anyways! my theatre has 3,000 ppl there last night crazzy!

i’m gonna guess kinda high… The Dark Night was $158.4M so i’ll say $168M. I hope we beat The Dark Night!!!!!!!!!

The twilight saga has some pretty intense fans… i don’t know if it’ll necessarily get one of the highest grossings though. it seems like most fans are so obsessed they cant wait. after that its just the people going to see it one more time …or like 10

The haters can bash the Saga and Twihards all day long, but with numbers like that, we have to be doing something right I think they’re just mad it’s a “teen” vampire flick that’s leaving the rest of Hollywood in the dust.
I am also huge HP fan, and I am hoping that these figures knock the HP filmmakers to their senses and give them some incentive to make better movies. The 6th was at least better than OotP and GoF (bleh!), but on the whole that series has gone steadily down the tubes. A major tragedy considering how outstanding the novels are.

oh, and btw…. I FREAKING LOVED THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the ending was a tad bit upsetting, but i’ll get over it. it was 100000000000000000000 times better than Twilight. Everyone’s acting was stepped up (and it helped that there were half naked guys running around the whole movie… hehe) I saw it at midnight and today i’m going ot a 4:00 matinee and again at 7:00! SOOO EXCITED!! still can’t get over how amazing it was!

Wow, if it was 26 million only last night, then I’d say, weekend could easily be 100 million! *O*

They are predicting 125-130 million now.

It was without a doubt the most amazing movie I’ve ever seen. Amazing.
Those Professional paid critics hate everything except for obscure indie movies that nobody’s seen anyway. Who cares what they think? They didn’t even read the books.

I find the midnight total to be really amazing. The other two films (Dark Knight and Harry Potter) were summer releases, and no one had school the next day.

I cant wait till Sunday. I recon that it will be record breaking greatly.

Most of the people I know are seeing the movie Saturday or Sunday. I think numbers this time will hold all weekend.

i dont understand why the dark night made so much money and stuff..honestly i think its cause heath ledger died..cause the movie was so boring to me i could barely sit there..so yeh new moon better beat it on the highest day grossing or something like that cause new moon is amazing :]

this movie was soo much better than twilight and it had a better budget too. This movie totally changed my perspective of Jacob. I was team edward but now i see jacob’s side more. =] well done.

does this also count the people who saw it at the nordstrom premiere? because i saw it yesterday at 930 before the midnight people and it was still crazy, they had soo much security and soo many theaters played it for the nordstroms people.

i actually qued for 1 1/2 hours earlier to see this film only to get to the door and to be turned away… COMPETELY gutted. It was total mayhem!!

um i really wasnt feeling new moon i hope eclipse is way better although the special affects were amazing i am proud though we beat world record =D

HOLY CRAP! The movie was soooooooo amazing! And I’d like to say… There was an Eclipse movie poster in the theater I went to for the midnight showing! It was kinda a wtf moment, but still! There was an Eclipse poster!

The theater I went to was almost exclusively 20+ with the majority of the group being twi-moms haha It was amazing, and I hope the numbers hold

Midnight showing was insane. I live in a really small town and it was shown in all six theaters and each was sold out. And the movie was AMAZING!! So much better than twilight and was so close to the book.

Cause that’s how we do it!!! Haters to the left <- I went to the midnight and will have seen it two more time by the end of today. And it’s a wide demographic…all ages and a good number of guys too

Taylor was great as jacob. The whole cast did good. acting was a lot better than in twilight. and there were a lot of really funny lines and direct quotes from the book. it was so great! ahhh its sold out for tonight but i can’t wait to go again.

OME!!! It was absolutely amazing!! I’m going to see it again on wednesday!

Wowee, I’m hoping New Moon breaks the record for most grossing movie in opening weekend.
As those have said, we may be teeny twilights lovers, but we kicked your butts in the box office, so there!

I JUST SAW THE MOVIE AND I FREAKING LOVED IT. HOLY CRAP IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER THEN TWILIGHT!!!!!!

There were like 5 year olds in the theatre- wow. Oh and twimoms- And A LOT of guys- which surprised me.

What bugged me the most was how people screamed for Taylor more then they screamed for Rob. They only screamed for Rob once and that was at the very last line of the movie

Taylor was an amazing Jacob,

The whole cast was overall better. I loved Mike and Jess in this one. Alice was adorable as usual.

AND THE AWARD FOR MOST IMPROVED GOES TO- KRISTEN STEWART. I applaud her acting in this one. It was a billion times better then in twilight.

New Moon dominates over Twilight. They don`t even deserve to go in to the same category- that`s how much twilight sucked compared to this movie. I loved it.

Honestly The Best Movie, I Wasn’t Disappointed At All. The Chemistry Between The Actors Was Amazing And I Felt Every Emotion As It Passed. I’m Not Surprised It Set A Rcord, My Friends And I Have Seen It Multiple Times Already, And I Plan To See It A Few More Times In Theaters.
