OME!!!!! I just got out of New Moon. All I can say is that it was AMAZING!!! I was completely blown away! No crying was done here, but plenty of adrenaline rushes occured. AMAZING!!! I can haz see it againplz?!?!?!?! Love it. Can’t wait for Eclipse now!

I got the chills soo many times and I stopped breathing a few times too! Got my Edward fever again lol. Far out it was so much better than I had expected <3

The movie was absolutely breathtaking! I was so completely in awe of Rob and Taylor!!!! Kristen surprised me a lot too with how much better she got. But Rob and Taylor…I can’t even explain. The entire time I was watching, I saw Edward and Jacob and Bella. That was it. I didn’t see their real personality anywhere in these characters and I was amazed at how perfectly they BECAME their characters. Not just ACTING like them.

The effects were so amazing and a thousand times better than in Twilight. This movie was so well done and phenomenally cast!!!

White Demon Love Song is the first song in the credits. I was a little disappointed with that but oh well. You when some you lose some.

It was a great movie! Very well done, well acted by all actors! Rob, kristen, taylor… Amazing! Truly enjoyed it. No doubt I will see it several more times while it is in the theaters lol definately worth missing sleep for I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I can tell you honestly that I was NOT disappointed at all! Music rocked as well! AWESOME!!!

I loved it to Jacob gave me chillS!!i LOVE how 98% of the dialogue was from the book how awesome was that. 7 more months untill Eclipse its going to be epic

I’m laughing at all the “critic” reviews! They’re calling Kristen’s performance “too mopey”. These people obviously have no clue! Let them have their boring Oscar pics because I’m in love with New Moon. It does an excellent job of following the events in the book. The major details are there without getting too bogged down. I loved the incorporation of humor! Bella is suffering from such a deep depression and the humor is a great way to lighten the mood for the audience!! I cannot wail until June for Eclipse!!

UGH! I have to wait until 3:20 PM (Central Time) to see it! I can’t wait!!!! I need to see it NOW!!!!

Saw New Moon last night. It was absolutely amazing! I can’t even believe how much better than the first it was. The dialogue and the pace were perfect and it was almost perfect in relation to the book!! Thank you Chris for directing such a beautiful film!!! And the cast for making it real! LOVED IT!! Can’t wait to see it again on Sunday!!

I so wish I was in the theater you all where in. I was so fortunate to be on one with a bunch of (Adult) rude people who talked the entire time and imitated and made fun of the movie. I tried so hard to tune them out but just couldn’t. I should have left but didn’t want to miss anything at the same time. Does anyone know how to turn back time so I can not know what is going to happen in the movie and go to a theater with non disruptive people that are there to enjoy the show and not ruin it for others. I want to have that great movie going experience with New Moon. We have waited so long for it and now I just feel sad and angry. May all your movie going experiences be good and all the rude people just stay home!!!!

The movie was sooo amazing!! me n my friends were sitting there for 10hrs and were second in line but it was so worth it!!!!!! taylor was amazing…the pouring rain scene with him and bella was sooo HOT!!!! the wolves were great and funnny love all of them!.
we got like 3hrs of sleep but it was so worth it. i cant wait to see it again tonight

Erin have you read the books? Just curious because your comment about too much Jacob and not enough Edward really makes me wonder.

Of Course there was more Jacob than Edward. New Moon is where Jacob evolves as a character its his time to shine. Love him or not that’s the story. I’m glad that they didn’t have a too much Edward because that would have changed the feel of the movie.

Now on to the movie. OMG it was AWESOME! I havent even been able to completely digest it all. Cant wait to go back and see it again. I think Chris and Co. done a great job at getting this movie right. They done such a wonderful job and set the bar high for Eclipse. I hope Slade sticks to the book as close as Chris did.

I only have 2 bad experiences with the people in the theater. One was I love football and my team is the Panthers. I had to choose NM or the game so I chose NM of course. Besides I have DVR and can watch it later. I was telling my friend how I cant wait to watch the game when I get home. The girl sitting beside me intrupts me and tells me they lost. OMG I was so aggravited she spoiled the game for me.
The second is this woman and her husband were sitting behind me and he kept asking her questions about the movie and what was happening. who is this and is Bellla going to drown? OMG does she get lost in the woods? So annoying. Other than that I had a great time.

Sorry Inlove for those mean nasty people runing your experience. Its sad that they don’t have anything better to do with their life than spend their money on a money they didn’t want to see in the first place just to bash it and ruin it for other people. How pathetic is that?

Oh and I must agree about the critics. They are extremly bias when it comes to this series and the majority of romance movies. If it doesn’t have explosions and nudity to get their inner fan boys all hot and bothered they bash it. They have all jumped on the hate Twilight bandwagon because they think if they don’t and actually admit it was a good film that magically they get their masculinity is taken away from them.

Saw it this morning and it was SO true too the book I was blown away! It looked so professional, Chris did it so much justice. I can’t wait to see this again, i’m so anxious too! And Eclipse AAAH!

Favourite scene? Hmm either, the bits with Edward and Bella at school together, with Jacob fixing the motorbikes or the Volturi fight scene. Also the Wolf fight scene was AWESOME. I was actually cringing myself away it was vicious!

CHRIS WEITZ IS A GENIUS!!! This movie completely exceeded my expectations, it was surprisingly funny, the acting was SOO much more improved and it was shocking how many lines i recognized to be exactly from the book! AMAZING!!!!!! Can’t wait to see it again!

@Joan that was the scene which hit me the most too!!!! I loved it. You get to see the wolves, and Victoria, and how Harry dies, and Bella who is going to jump down..it was amazing! And I began to love Jacob!! He was soo sweet!! Like when Bella refuses to kiss him in the car and then she buries her face in his shoulder!! Awwww!! And I cried when jake run away with tears in his eyes… And the Rio scene where you can see all edward’s pain!!! Sooo good! I watched it on wednesday morning but I’m going to watch it again tomorrow night and the morning after…..

I went to the 12:03 showing last night. I thought that it was really good. I, personally, thought that New Moon was better than Twilight. For me the “special” effects in Twilight really brought the movie down, and I was much more pleased with the way they chose to depict the fast motion/running in New Moon.

Let me start off by saying that I took my daughter and my friend to see it last night. The theater we were at had Twilight showing before New Moon. SO I got us tickets and we went to both. The theater was so hectic with people, BUT for those of us that saw Twilight first… We had priority seating for New Moon. It was awesome. We had plenty of room…. The movie was OMG… Amazing and awesome… I have to go back and see it at least 100 more times!!! I loved how they made Edward a part of the movie as her visions. He didn’t get lost in the story. It was so great!!! I WANT MORE!!

Comment:Okayyy. So I saw new moon last night and I have to say I thought it was amazing. The acting was way better, the cinematography was better…everything about it was better. The biggest part that stuck out to me was the chemistry between Bella and Jacob. I mean it was just easy for me to watch them be together, so that was really cool.

I do think that it could have been a little longer though. It felt very rushed for me. I mean, of course it could have gone on for another four hours and I would have love it just the same, but unfortunately they can’t do that. Haha

So great job, everyone that show this. It was super awesome!

Yes, Alice’s vision was lol but then again I read the books therefore already know what will happen..I thought it was better than the first, Kristen did a much better job with this movie..I felt like the actors/characters really came together…Can’t wait to see how Eclipse will turn out

I think it’s both fantastic and ridiculous. If you’re a fan, you’ll love this movie — I did and I’m going back tonight.
Good job at keeping close to the book, but almost TOO much that it “rushed” things, don’t you agree? While I wished he could’ve lingered a little more on their immediate reunion in Volterra, I liked how he stretched out Bella’s agony despite her many interactions with Jacob. Too much make-up/lipstick on Rob’s already perfect face. That phone scene with Edward was awesome! Aro was super creepy, too. TEAM EDWARD FOREVER!!!

The acting performances by Kristen, Rob and Taylor were MUCH better. Kristen wasn’t doing that weird blinking thing. During the break up scene Rob did a fantastic job. You could tell that he was in pain when he was lying to her like that. And Taylor? Holy crap!!! If you can look past his smokin’ hot body, he did an amazing job. The transformation from the happy, pre-wolf Jacob, to the sad, mean, depressed wolf Jacob was so good.

Favorite scene? The wolves chasing Victoria in the woods and when Harry Clearwater dies. Hearing Damage by Thom Yorke fit SO WELL!! That scene was EPIC.

I wasn’t a big fan of Eddie and Ashley’s acting. I felt like it was a little forced and awkward. Did anyone feel that way when they saw it?

Oh yeah…when Jacob and Bella almost kissed?! That was a close one! Their lips touched just for a millisecond. But that was all it took for the crowd to go WILD! Well done Christ Weitz!

I almost forgot! The scene where Bella’s sitting in her chair and they did the whole October, November, December, January thing like in the book?! I was SO HAPPY they did that! I could FEEL Bella’s pain! It was heart wrenching.

This is my honest opinion the movie was great. Yes it doesn’t touch the book and I tried really hard not to compare but I did at times which I shouldn’t have so I need to watch it again.

I can’t see how anyone can say that new moon is not ten times better than twilight. i guess it’s probably coming from most of the jacob haters in the world, but dude… how could you hate jacob? he was so freaking adorable. not to mention super sexy hot. i already bought a ticket to go see it again today. oh my gosh, i’m still in awe at how NOT disappointed i was by this movie. it was amazing…i’ve seen it twice already before it was officially released….
The only things i missed were Edward giving Bella a CD and Edward’s eyes were not black when they were in volterra….Another minor difference was that in the book edward didnt tell bella that he was lying about not wanting her until they were back in Forks so the whole time they were with the volturi she kept thinking that all his gestures meant nothing and that he was going to leave her if they got out of Italy alive….in te movie he told her almost right after she pushed him inside out of the light….but over all i cant complain…it was amazzzzzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MOVIE was AMAZING of course. The only thing I had a problem with at all is that Angela is still with Erik. She is supposed to be with BEN. HAHA other than that the movie was great I can not wait to see it again.

That’s the third comment I’m writing, but I just can’t stop!!! The movie was soo amazing. i’ve just bought the score on iTunes…wonderful!! And I’ve just rememberd some more things I loved:
1- the three-people cinema ‘date’ I totally LMAO when you saw their 3 faces: bella’s a bit alienated, but at the same time she was looking at mike and at jacob’s; mike’s face was green-ish/ terrified: jake was excited and looked like a happy puppet!!!
2: charlie”and remember you’re grounded forever” okay dad
3: why do vampires always lift their right arm and put their hand in kind of a spider-way when they’re about to attack/ be attacked?? both edward and lauren do this!!!

I saw it last night. It was truly amazing. I don’t know if I can ever watch Twilight again… Twilight was awful in comparison to New Moon. I have no complaints.

I went to the midnight show, i got back and i couldn’t sleep till like 5 am! I kept playing th emovie over and over in my head.
I am so freaking impressed!. I am sooo grateful that they fit almost everything in the movie. Seriously they did an amazing job. However i have to wonder, am i the only one that saw or sees more chemistry between taylor and kristen than Rob and Krsiten?
Overall is was great! 10/10

I know it’s bad, but I have a tiny complaint, the “before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night…,” quote wasn’t in the movie. Okay, so I knew it wouldn’t be, but I was hoping!

WOW. I’m just in awe of how amazing the movie was. Seriously. I expected it to be good but this was much much MUCH better then I expected. Some of my FAV parts for sure is the beginning with the moon and I LOVED the whole sequence when Victoria was running around everywhere when Charlie was searching in the woods. So freaking good. Also The Voluri was SPOT on! They were super creepy. Dakota did a phenominal job.
The movie really grasped the feeling you got when you read New Moon. That sad yet happy feeling. The whole part after Edward leaves and shes sitting in her room. OMG I cried to hard. Kristen was brilliant. And Taylor..he nailed Jacob to a Tee! And of course Rob. Gorgeous! He played Edward better for sure. He was awesome in Twilight but they all really were in perfect character this time. I can’t wait to see Eclipse! I already started reading it lol.
It’s funny because my boyfriend HATES twilight and always makes fun of me for liking it. He totally loved it. All the Twilight haters are going to eat their words because this film was awesome! Words can’t describe.
Stephanie has to be so proud. This one for sure matched New Moon perfectly.
One last thing! I promise:) The way I pictured Voltera in my head..in the movie it was EXACTLY the way I pictured it! Brilliant! Ah! They need to get crackin on Breaking Dawn! That movie will be CRAZY!

Larry Carroll said that we have to figure out waht Jacob says before him and Bella kiss. It was meant to be a puzzle for the fans. i say we group together and figure this thing out cause I am dying to know!! We did get a hint though..its somewhere along the lines of Jacob pledging his eternal love for Bella.

I LOVED IT! My school took 30 kids to see the movie and everyone was so attentive to the movie! I laughed, I cried, I was like “YEA, GET HIM!” It was awesome, I loved it, I feel so bad for Jacob! But I am still Team Switzerland, through and through! Bella, though she hurt Jacob, is still my favorite character! Love her and Kristen to death!

The movie was simply amazing. At the end I was pretty disappointed because I felt no emotion at the end, but that could have been because the movie started at 1am! We saw Twilight beforehand and then was escorted to New Moon with the Pink wristbands they gave us! AMC was also giving out plastic New Moon cups with a purchase of a large drink! Amazing! I will keep it as a shrine!

Saw it! Last night; midnight; opening night. Best movie ever, ’cause it’s the only one that had my favorite part going on for an hour and half–Taylor Lautner walked around shirtless for 1.5 hrs. And by the way, Bells, if my super-hot, super-ripped, shirtless bestfriend leaned in a car and begged me not to leave him, I’d've melted on the ground already.

Needed less Robert Blechinson in it. Also, less face-time, more you’re-just-a-voice-in-my-head with him. And he’s hairy. And his pecs are nothing on Jake’s.

Okay, saw a midnight showing and have been thinking about it all day! I’ve decided that I might be jumping on the Team Jacob bandwagon… I think he stole the show. Him and Kristen were absolutely perfect together!

I can’t believe they left out Charlie letting Edward have it when they return from Italy, I really wanted to see that come off the pages.

Hated Bella’s preview as a vampire! She looked the same!!! They better come up with something before Breaking Dawn hits the screens.

I would have posted this sooner, but I had to get to bed after the movie. I went to see New Moon at midnight and it was PERFECT! I loved it! I do have one compaint though: I didn’t get to see part of the end because the FILM SPLIT! They fixed it after two minutes, but the audio was off for another couple minutes. I got to see the last 5 minutes of the movie after that. Thank God the theater is giving us free passes to see it again on Sunday! I’m so excited! I loved every minute of New Moon and I believe it was 10X better than Twilight!

OMG!! Honestly, I was speechless at the end. The “Marry me, Bella” was perfect! it knocked the breath out of me. I thought the movie was incredible!! I loved every second of it! Towards the end on the volturi scene, the screen suddenly went blank and my friends and I stood up and were like yelling “No!!!” and “What!?!?” Everyone in the theater stared at us like we were crazy, but we couldnt have cared less. Plus, I guess we kinda were. The time it took the theater guys to put it back on again was such a suspense! I was literally going crazy! Chris did an excellent job! Taylor was right wasn’t he? The movie was “taken up a whole other notch”!!!Oh, and I thought Alice’s vision with Bella and Edward running was hilarious! it wasnt in the book, but at least it made me laugh. Great Movie!

Imma watch it tomorrow.

Can anyone tell me what the song was that was playing when bella and Jacob were fixing up the bikes?

My only complaint is that they left out my favorite quote from the series “Before you Bella, my life was like a moonless night….” That to me is such an important peice of Dialogue from the book!
Otherwise I loved it! The special effects were great. I liked that they didnt show them running too much,rather they just had them appear and reappear giving the allusion of their speed, rather than overdoing the effects. The sparkles were better too.
Something that I liked that I didn’t to in the book was the dream scene.they did that really well.
Of course Pattinson’s pain was portrayed very well. Kirsten’s low voice is what throws her off for me and some of her line delivery was off. Taylor did great. The moment he had in the forest with Kirsten at the end was beautifully done.
Chris Weitz did a great job. I loved the new vibrancy of the film as opposed to the first movies blue hue. It gave the movie some life and I think more character. Also a step up were the scene transitions. In Twilight the transitions were muddy, as in when they walked from the school into the forest randomly. Here they were purposeful, believable and appropriate!

OMG this movie was perfect the first time in history a movie stays true to the book . I think the director did a great job every detail was perfect and the movie was absolutly funny. OMg and I love wen edward calls to see if bella is alive and the you can see that he’s in south America because of the statue in the backround. And omg it was so perfect I couldn’t allmost get ticket and I was wating in line for more than 2 hours before the theater open and the were only ticket for the 6:00 screaning it was totally insane I got lucky I didint have school today
Omg and it was so weird that every twilight fan was talking and they didint even know each other I was talking to stragers and even hugging them it was creppy.

1. The critics are not biased. They are paid to see the movies and comment on the movies and only the movies. Not the books. They are paid to give their own opinions, not to support yours. Their opinions are valued by the public. If not, RottenTomatoes would not exist. Just because they don’t think exactly like Teeny Boppers do doesn’t mean that they “don’t understand”. In fact, if they kept our opinions in mind just enough to change their review to satisfy you all, then they would be TRULY biased. Though, of course, you wouldn’t be yelling at them then, would you?
2. Bashers go to the movie just because people like you and your little films are hilarious to them. It’s all a big joke. A big, disgusting joke. I would dissect why they hate the book, but then I would be straying from the topic at hand and I know that quite a few (Not all, of course) twi-tards are too ignorant to tell. If you guys are allowed to go to the movies to scream and yell about how amazing Edward looks, people who have opposing opinions should have the chance to express themselves at the same level. They truly aren’t hurting anyone. They’re just getting entertainment from a laughably bad “film” and the over-the-top actions of obsessive fans.

P.S. Before I am bashed for this post and told that I have no life, I would like to put out there that I reached this page when simply searching for a review to read. I was wondering what “his golden eyes” was and couldn’t help but read through the silly comments and after hearing critics being attacked for doing their job honestly had to post a response.

Amazing. Beautiful. But will admit some parts in the middle were boring, but I thought that of the book as well. I didn’t like how bella told jacob ‘I love you’ I don’t remember that part and there lips touched! Wtf. Not appropriate. And the ending was PERFECT. So stoked for eclipse. Sia - I think you may be missing my point. I never insulted specific twilight fans. I was not targeting fans in general, I was just say that, as this is in all fandoms, there are those who take things too far. Take for example, a girl in my computer class who asked a girl what planet he was from and called her “a freak” for saying that she was not a fan. I would never make assumptions based on fandoms. I make assumptions based on un-called for actions.

Also, please don’t think that I ever called the critics opinions better than anyone else’s. I respect the opinions of all because I have disagreed with critics at times. I was trying to make just the point that you’re trying to make to the girls who bashed critics for disliking their movie when it is just their job to say how they feel. TAYLOR STOLE THE WHOLE FREAKING MOVIE.
And it wasn’t because of his amazinlgy awesome bufftastic abs, but his performence was phenomenal. He is the person who plays his character the best, I think. He just captures the whole essence and mood and presense of Jacob. I have to say, some of my favorite scenes in the movie where the one’s with Jacob.

The way how Taylor plays Jacob makes me feel reallllllyyyyyyyy sorry for Jacob! I think I am now turning to Team Swtiz. SEriously. I’m sorry, but I felt more sad for JAcob when Bella rejected him than for Bella when Edwrd left her. IDK, but Taylor has really changed my perspective of JAcob. It’s not because I absolutely love Taylor as a person, but it’s because of how Taylor portrays Jacob. The movie just makes you feel REALLLLLLYYYYY sad for Jacob. GAHHHHHh. Jacob lit up the whole movie; he was like the sunshine of the movie which is super surprising to me because I didn’t think that would happen.

To tell you the truth, I really don’t get the point of critics because no one even cares abouth their opinions. I know its a sad thing to say, but why should people go by someone else’s opinions? that’s ridiculous. Everyone that I know do not even care the f*ck what critics have to say. I mean go out and watch a movie for yourself. Don’t depend on what oher’s have to say, because at the end of the day everyone tihnks differently. I not saying that critic’s opinions shouldn’t be voiced, but I have always thought of the idea of ‘movie critics’ to be plain stupid.

Majority of people will go to see the movie regardless of what they say and decide for themselves. and that’s the way it has to be because people have different opinions of what is enjoyable. A critic may hate a movie and many love it or they love it and the public hates it.

The point of critical review is not to sway someone completely, it is to give the insight of someone else who has had experience with films to a viewer wondering whether or not they should see a film. And going out to see a movie for yourself and blowing $9 on a ticket without having any knowledge about its downfalls or high points doesn’t seem very smart, especially if you end up hating the film.

You know, I have a feeling that all of you would be bowing to the critics and telling the world that reviewers just looooved New Moon if it had gotten good reviews.

Reading the comments, I can’t help but wonder if people would say the same thing if the critics LOVED the movie.

Ultimately, the Twilight movies will always be for the fans, whether it is universally praised or not. However, this does not mean that critics have no right to judge the movie. They do.

I am not trying to start an argument here, but confronting the critics for how “wrong” they are will do nothing but make the fandom gain a worse reputation than it already has. It makes us look like closed-minded fools who will attack anyone who isn’t praising the movie.

Bottom line, they know the filming industry. They know if a movie is poorly produced. They know QUALITY, and most of us do not.

But they will not stop us from enjoying this movie.

I thought the movie was so much better than Twilight. It’s got some amazing and unusual effects in it and stuck to the book. The acting, costumes, makeup, CGI, and overall directing was so much better. I was only a fan of the first movie because I am a huge fan of the books but this movie was absolutely incredible.

Loved the movie! I tried not to compare it to the book, but I did a lot, which kind of took away from the movie for me. I really want to go see it because I think I will be able to see it as the movie and not the book. I also felt like it was really rushed. I think they tried to get the whole book fit in the movie, which is awesome, but the pace just felt really fast. Especially the first half of the movie. I still loved it though! Very Happy!

Telling critics that their profession is terrible and “stupid” because they are giving insight and disagreeing with you is what is truly biased in this situation. Please think up a different argument, because Critics base their reviews on things such as deepness of plot, production value and quality of acting, which in the end (though still somewhat based on opinion) really boils down to facts and reasoning, though that doesn’t mean that it is wrong to disagree. To sum it up: Critics Know Films. They don’t judge based on shirtlessness or how many people “bawwwww”d when Edward asked Bella to marry him. They simply lay out opinions that they base on fact, and it is the viewer’s choice to decide whether or not to agree or trust them. Another rebuttal is easy as pie and I have repeated it over and over again, unheard: review sites get LOADS of traffic. So you may not care, but others will.

Also keep in mind that in almost every negative review, critics acknowledge that Fans will love the movie no matter what they say and no matter how bad the movie is. That means that they are accepting YOUR opinions and letting (though only certain) fans have their biased fun while they tell the uninitiated still deciding how they feel about the film.
They’re keeping your opinion in mind and respecting it, can’t you just stop bashing their profession for disagreeing with you?

It was amazing! I watched it like around 7 yesterday!
Everyone in the theaters was scremaing and going “Ahhhhhh”
and i did cry!
WAY better than twilight!
Robs acting was amazing!
Dont hate me for this, but i think kristen is still at the bottom of the list for good acting.

AND I LOVED THE ENDING!

I think they just needed to show jacob and bella hanging out a bit more.
