Kristen Stewart Sings in ‘The Runaways’ Trailer
Yup guys, they are using Kristen’s vocals in the movie! How cool is that?
“The trailer for the film (out March 19) starts with some hyper-dramatic narration (”In 1975, rock was a man’s world. Until…”), then segues into the juicy bits: KStew getting rowdy, throwing a chair and hurling a beer bottle in a recording studio, telling the story of an out-of-control band hooked on rock’s excesses (read: drugs and sex). But that’s not even the best part. That comes when Stewart sings. Yep: the revamped music of “Cherry Bomb” features lead vocals from the vampire-lover herself.”

That’s not Kristen, it’s Dakota. Cherie Currie confirmed it. This article is incorrect. Kristen may have the lead in some songs, but Dakota definitely sings Cherry Bomb.

It doesn’t sound like Dakota at all. I can’t wait for the movie. You can clearly hear Kristen’s voice in the song. This movie looks so good!

I read somewhere that the “hello daddy, hello mom” part is Kristen but that the rest of it is Dakota. Because that part really does sound like Kristen’s voice.

Regardless if it is Kristen and Dakota, I think it sounds kick ass either way! I am a ’90s girl, but I think this movie and their voices sound fantastic! I am definitely ecstatic for this movie!

3. Also you need to realize that Joan Jett wrote Cherry Bomb for Cherie Currie to sing
So it’s NOT KRISTEN singing Cherry Bomb
It’s DAKOTA!
If you can’t tell the difference between Dakota’s voice and Kristen’s then you obviously aren’t listening good.

Haha wow some people just go nuts. ANYWAY, yes this is mostly Dakota but Kristen is singing with her in the background and jesspattinson was correct about Kristen singing the “hello daddy, hello mom” part. It’s seriously not a big deal. Oh and Jaclyn, we know that they are The Runaways. That’s why the movie is called The Runaways. I’m fairly certain we can all read here, no need to get cranky.

Joan sang the song after cherie left the band. In the trailer is mainly dakota singing and kriste in the background; Stop fighting people.
Nothing new that some journalist will write everything just to sell and make people talking.
