“Twilight” star Kristen Stewart–so good as Joan Jett in “The Runaways” and in “Welcome to the Rileys”– has her next project lined up. Stewart will co-star with Julianne Moore in “Backwoods.” Sources say the film, directed by Moore’s husband, Bart Freundlich, concerns the end of the world. “Backwoods,” still to be fully cast, should start sometime this summer. By then, Stewart will be starring in “Twilight:Eclipse.” Freundlich has three features under his belt including a gem called “The Myth of Fingerprints.” He also recently directed four episodes of “Californication” for Showtime. Moore, who was denied an Oscar nomination for her wonderful work in “A Single Man,” opens shortly in Atom Egoyan’s “Chloe,” with Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried.

Remember Me is officially out today!
I’m leaving this post up for anyone who wants to leave their personal review of the movie. Spoilers are more than welcome. As always, concrete criticism is perfectly alright but blatantly bashing will get the comment deleted. For those of you who wont get to see it until later on, I’d suggest you stay away from the comments. This is the kind of movie you REALLY don’t want spoiled.Hope you all enjoy the film! Our personal review will be going up this weekend.

How does Joan’s makeup look transform in the movie?
Going off the pictures, she initially just used a brown eye shadow and that was it. Then that morphed into a smoky eye with brown eye shadow and black liner. She added blush and lipstick to it during her glam phase but eventually went through more of a punk stage where it was just harsh black liner everywhere. At the end of the film, we show Joan in the ’80s, where she really went into pinks—she’d wear a bright pink jacket with bright fuchsia lips and a pink-and-purple smoky eye. But that look was created mostly for promotional photos; once those promotional days were over, she went back to her basic black liner and brown shadow without any lip color or blush. And that’s the same makeup look she wears today. How does Cherie’s makeup change over the course of the movie?
We did about 10 or so different makeup looks for Cherie. She was so all over the place with her makeup that I had plenty of choices to pick from. I sat down with the director and Dakota and we chose which looks we wanted to use because there were so many. Cherie was a real shapeshifter with her makeup. She did this brown winged eye shadow for awhile, and then she did this crazy silver shadow with glitter and thick black eyeliner with bright striped cheeks. She also did a blue-and-gold smoky eye which is really cool—I would’ve never thought to use those two colors for a smoky eye.Toward the end of the film, we really see Dakota’s look change as Cherie gets more and more haggard and tired. It’s a big, shocking look—very different from how Dakota Fanning has appeared in other films. So I’m waiting with bated breath to hear what people think because it’s a shocker. I can’t give away too much, but if you know about the demise of the Runaways, you’ll understand why Dakota looks the way she does at the end of the movie.
“We couldn’t be more [like rockers],” Stewart explained of the gig portraying Joan Jett during her early days in the hard-partying all-girl band. “This is the biggest opportunity to be a rock star.”
“Yeah, the closest I’m ever going to get is when I was performing ‘Cherry Bomb,’ ” Fanning said of the signature song for Cherie Currie, which she sings in the movie at several clubs and house parties while being pelted with trash and flipped off by the very punk-rock crowds the band attracted. “I guess that was the biggest moment of being an actor: pretending to be a rock star. That’s as close as I’m ever going to get.”
“You literally are suited up and put in the exact same position [where a rocker would stand],” Kristen explained of shooting the biopic for filmmaker Floria Sigismondi, who captures the ’70s rock scene with amazing attention to detail. “You couldn’t [be any more of one] unless you really were a rock star.”
“Which,” Stewart added, making sure to be clear, “we both are not planning on doing.”
As Kristen’s fans are well aware, the girl knows her music. Remember that Minor Threat T-shirt she wore to Comic-Con ‘09? Or when she was spotted with the rest of the “Twilight” cast at the Kings of Leon show? Keeping all that in mind, we had to ask the big question: If she could trade places with any rock star for a single day, who would it be?
“Joan!” Stewart shot back, without hesitation. “It depends on what period of life, I suppose. But on Joan and Cherie’s best day? Oh my God, I would definitely go with that!”
