MTV has an article up about tonight’s Ulalume Halloween special where Rob, Kristen, and Taylor will be presenting a new clip from New Moon. Also, the cast talks about whether or not they own any Twilight merch.
On Friday (October 30) at 9 p.m. ET, MTV will air the one-hour TV special “Ulalume: Howling at New Moon.” Premiering the day before Halloween, the special will feature “Twilight Saga” stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz and more. But, most significantly for Stephenie Meyer’s loyal army of followers, the special will debut a brand-new clip from November 20’s “New Moon.”
The festivities will kick off Friday night with “Twilight” stars Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, who will be addressing fans as they explore one of the most feared haunted houses in North America. Then, the show will get tastier than a bagful of Butterfingers when Ashley Greene dishes exclusive scoop on some of the biggest rumors that have surrounded the “Twilight” cast over the past few months as they’ve been shooting their sequels. In addition, RPattz, KStew and Taycob will appear to introduce the exclusive, sneak-peek clip from Summit Entertainment that we’re currently guarding in a steel vault, surrounded by a team of hungry werewolves and bloodthirsty vampires.
The show will also air on MTV2 at 10 p.m. ET and on mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, at 11 p.m. ET.

MTV has a new interview with Jackson about Jasper’s backstory and the Volturi, along with a few comments on the Volturi from the cast.
MTV: Out of the new characters joining the franchise for “New Moon,” which is your favorite?
Jackson Rathbone: My favorite character in “New Moon” that wasn’t in “Twilight”? I guess my favorite character in “New Moon” is a collective — the Volturi. It’s one of those things that’s really nice to see, these decadent older vampires that run this vampire society, if you will. I think they’re an amazing group of actors that we were able to get for the film, and they are very scary and intimidating. They’re all perfect — I mean, Dakota Fanning is a terrifying Jane; absolutely terrifying.
MTV: As the “Saga” moves along, do you feel more or less like your character?
Rathbone: More or less like Jasper? You know, I honestly think, it’s more of a Jasper I imagined coming into the first “Twilight.” Mainly because I’m able to show my backstory in “Eclipse,” where people get to see what really drives Jasper in “Twilight,” which you don’t really understand. This character, he’s always in pain, and [people ask], “Why?” and, “What is his reasoning?” He’s had a really dark past, and it follows him around. So, it was really nice to be able to get into those moments, so that explains and informs the way I’ve been performing through “Twilight” and “New Moon.”
