Banned because if you've been speaking Spanish longer than English, then Spanish must be your first language. Which totally goes against what you said before.

banned for misunderstanding. I pointed out that the language you've spoken for the longest time must, by definition, be your first language. The language you've spoken longest must be the one you first learned to speak, ergo, it must be your first language.

I'm happy to accept that some people do speak 2nd/3rd languages better, I just think it's strange.

Her ''mother'' language is English but for some reason she speaks Spanish better.
Like immigrants, they speak the language of the country they leave in, more that their own one. That doesn't make that language their ''first''.
