Well Roald Dahl's books are brilliant so that's perfectly understandable!
It was a touring production. Throughout most of the show Sophie was a puppet, but near the end Sophie was played by the human actress and a huge mechanical puppet was used for the BFG - it was great. :]

I saw a production of The BFG years and years ago. I think I was about 8.
I remember it being amazing, but also really scary.
The giants used terrifed me!

I saw a play called 42nd street last night... I rate it about 8/10.
There were a couple of actors who looked like they just didn't want to be there, but it was an overall great performance! There was also a really cute guy in it ;)

^ Oh, I've seen that! The production I saw had great costumes, sets and choreography, but the actual singing wasn't too great :/

phantom of the opera last night ^_^ uhmm 8/10. i really enjoyed it but its not something i would see a second time (as opposed to wicked which i AM seeing again ;P) even though im not a fan of opera, i really liked the songs- so dramatic, i love that in musicals.
i was very pleased with the cast, wasnt expecting australians to be such high standard =p i really loved the set design! lol it had depth and perspective- just all really well pulled together.

Saw Chicago last night, and it was really quite excellent. 9/10 at least.

It seems they might have had quite a low costume budget though, there wasn't an inch of spare material on the male dancers. Not that I'm complaining ;)

The Who's Tommy: 9/10, it was confusing in the beginning, but it the singing and everything was amazing! Seriously, there are some TALENTED people in my town.

Before that I saw The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee 10/10, funnies play I have ever seen, and the actor playing Leaf Codybear was a genius! I'll be surprised if anyone knows who that is, but never the less, he was amazing.

The Fiddler on the Roof - 6/10
I somehow got roped into doing their follow spot in house left for this at church.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, the improvement was amazing; however, the rest of their crew is awful.
They don't move quickly enough, the sound is all spotty, the lighting cues are all over the place and to top it off, the actors are flat as a board.
I've seen more expressive 5-year-olds

High School Musical

8/10

Hated the movie, loved the show; however the songs still made me want to plug my ears at parts. That's not their fault though. One of my old teachers was in it. She was hilarious!

Sweeney Todd - 9/10

the orchestra and singing were amazing, though I thought "Toby's" acting left a little to be desired. The best part was seeing it in Bath's Theatre Royal - which has been there since the Georgians - so it was a pretty awesome experience....I love Bath so much. Uncomfy seats though

Also a little disappointed that there was no spurting blood for the murders - but they did put red lights on stage, which added to the effect somewhat :D

Well, it's on stage, so did you really expect good blood?
There's very little time for the techs to clean up spilled blood.
Everyone would be slipping and it would just be gross.

^well, it would have been nice - I guess I wasn't really thinking of the practicalities....although it might have added some extra comedy if everyone was falling over in fake blood. Well it would have made me laugh anyway.
