I met a girl about a month ago who said she didn't like Kristen and used the generic excuse that K is rude/doesn't care about fans. I asked her to elaborate and all she could say was that she met her and just didn't like her.

Everyone has their own point of view but I honestly think the hating on Kristen is ridiculous and based on weird issues girls have about actresses that work with actors they like. I also think it has something to do with people having a set idea of who Bella Swan is (and it's usually an extension of themselves) and here Kristen comes along and violates the image they have in their head. So they call her names and say she's mean or a bad actress.

I've been following K for years and my only complaint is that she hasn't stretched herself in terms of range. I've also met her and she was completely herself. That's what I love about her. She doesn't put up a front, she doesn't turn on a new personality for the fans or the cameras. She's interested in her work and her friends and her own life. She's a private, thoughtful person. She doesn't care about the celebrity bull -- which is not the same as not caring about her fans.

Woah ... that turned into a rant. Sorry. I guess this is my I Love Kristen day. Cutting to the chase: Girl rocks. I'm 100% in that woman's corner.

this literally had me gasping for air I laughed so hard. I absolutely agree it is insane the way things get split into standards. The bottom line is they are the ones onscreen, not you so they must be doing something right. I am not going to sit here and say don't have an opinion but if you want to hate on someone have a reason and be able to back yourself up with actual evidence and reason that goes beyond you being jealous. I have no problem with her as an actress she has more talent in her little finger than I do in my whole body and she is still young developing her skills so i give her absolute credit for putting up with the ridiculous crap people throw around and will continue to wish that the people who feel the need to bash not only her but any star, will grow up a little and go beyond kindergarten hatred.

Well, I am one of those girls who always pictured the character in a certain way, and now Kristen doesn't match it exactly.

But I've learned to accept, after seeing many book adaptions, that the actors and actresses almost never look the way I imagined them (in Twilight, the only person who looks just like how I pictured is Taylor Lautner - but only with short hair).

And so, although I accept her look, I think that there is quite a lot from Twilight she needs to improve on in New Moon, and I'm sure she will, she is a talented actress.

From what I've seen from New Moon so far, it seems like she's putting more effort into her acting, or maybe she's just improved a lit. I think there's a lot more emotion on her face and in her voice now. Maybe in the first movie she was just nervous, and that's why she seemed a little....boring.

^definitely a fair point. It helps that shes quit with the whole heavy breathing ALL the time thing as well.
