Officially starting December of 07′, HGE (HisGoldenEyes for short) has been working hard to bring the fans news and updates relating to the Twilight series. Kimmy, site creator, started the website as nothing more than a way to find fellow twilight fans. What began as goldeneyes on freewebs, would later be renamed (Golden Eyes was taken) and get it’s very own domain. With the new domain came the need for more help. The original staff members (Kimmy, Cat, Ligia and Nicky) were able to witness the stunning speed at which the site gained popularity. We went from having 19 people on at a time to a staggering 1000 at one point.

With the release of Breaking Dawn and the film, the site became bigger and busier. Another staff member was added, Joelle, to help out with the craziness that was the Twilight world at that moment in time. It wasn’t enough. More staff members have been added and two of the original team have left due to time related problems. Once the book was released, the hype went directly to the film adaptation of Twilight. It was also during this time that HGE was invited to the Los Angeles premiere of the movie. With the staff being fangirls themselves, this was an experience of a lifetime. The film would go on to become one of the biggest releases of the season.

A year later, HGE still holds strong. With the release of the New Moon movie inching closer everyday, the team is still working hard on keeping the fans updated on everything Twilight related. While the look of the site may have changed drastically from what it was at first, the purpose still remains the same. We are nothing more than a twilight fansite run by the fans, for the fans.
